Painfully. Agile shouldn’t be siloed to just technology. To truly reap the benefits, the entire organization should transition to an agile mindset. Organizations like Svitla Systems are excellent examples of what this looks like. Visit their website https://svitla.com/how-we-work.

This may not be realistic for you and your organization, and if that’s the case, you’ll have to find ways to flex in order to be good corporate citizens. I’d suggest finding a mentor who knows his way around the org and wise in the ways of agile. Otherwise, you may flex in all the wrong ways.

It requires a collaborative effort to integrate the software development process with the company’s operational management and release process. The integration of these two areas is called “Devops”.
